When It Makes Sense
If you are staying at the resort – especially in the Evolutee apartments – The Legend becomes the natural place to eat at least once every day.
It’s where breakfast is typically served for apartment guests.
It’s where most golfers head after their round.
And if you don’t feel like driving anywhere in the evening, it’s an easy and comfortable option on-site.
What to Expect
The restaurant is located in a bright, glass-enclosed dining area that feels almost like a conservatory. You sit protected from the wind, but with wide views over the golf course and out towards the Atlantic. On a clear afternoon, with the sun coming in low, it’s a genuinely beautiful setting.
This is not a basic clubhouse café. The level of food and service is noticeably higher than what you might expect from a typical golf restaurant.
The menu is international with Portuguese touches. Burgers, salads, meat and fish dishes – well executed and properly presented.
The cheeseburger is clearly approved, and even something as simple as a salad is prepared with care.
Service is professional and attentive, and the overall standard matches the resort’s level.
Prices are not in the budget category by Portuguese standards, but the quality and setting justify what you pay.
A Practical Note for Golfers
If you are playing Royal Óbidos and want something after nine holes, you will need to go up to the The Legend – there is no traditional halfway house you pass directly on the course.
Most golfers instead finish their round and enjoy a relaxed late lunch here, which works very well.
Why We Include It
The Legend is not a destination restaurant you drive out to experience.
But if you are staying or playing at Royal Óbidos, it is a reliable, comfortable and scenic option – and often the most convenient choice without compromising on quality.
